Room Mate Macarena, Madrid Gran Vía

Our room was lovely with plenty of space and a very comfy bed and our Romeo and Juliet balcony gave us a perfect view of Grand Via. Our room also had tea and coffee making facilities. The location was perfect, very easy to navigate around this beautiful city. The staff were very helpful, even helping me hotspot my kindle so I could download some books. The breakfast was really good, lots of choice and variety, and eating breakfast on the terrace was a lovely way to start the day. The rooftop bar and pool was a very relaxing space with amazing views of the city. Oh and let's not forget the glass of champagne on arrival. Top pick for tapas - Mercado de san Miguel, you can wander around with your glass of wine while you select your tapas.🍷

The breakfast exceeded our expectations with its variety and quality, and the fact that it was served until 12 am allowed us to fully enjoy a relaxed holiday mode. The complimentary champagne upon arrival and the daily treats delivered to our room—chocolates, candies, and biscuits—were delightful surprises. We found ourselves eagerly returning to the room each day, wondering, “What surprise awaits us today?” Enjoying our drinks on the hotel's terrace with its beautiful view and having long conversations there was simply priceless. We were early for check in and the friendly staff gave us a WhatsApp link to check when room would be ready ,delighted it was ready 2 hrs early .Our junior suite on the 6th floor was extremely comfortable,very little noise from the street ,large firm comfortable bed ,enormous TV ,should have brought a USB with a movie or 2 .We found Grand Via a little too busy for couple 55+ but enjoyed the comfort and space in the large room and the roof top bar was ideal to finish off a busy day sightseeing .Staff were extremely welcoming

I'm not sure if this happened before, but it looks like The hotel has some problems with the air conditioner system We have to move to another room. 2 days before the end of our stay because our AC stopped working We were moved to a bigger room with a big sofa we considered too big for the room when 2 sofa chairs and 1 coffee table they would have been better and more useful The other thing is the lack of privacy in the bathroom. In our case, we were a couple, but sometimes not only couples travel together or someone visits you at the hotel and needs to use the bathroom They are only details that do not prevent us from returning, but we consider it important to let you know Thanks

Great hotel - it looks very nice and modern. The staff is great and is always there to help. Our room had a Gran Via view and it was a lot quieter than we expected! The room is quite big which we appreciated. It's walking distance to restaurants and main attractions, and it was quite easy to get there from Atocha. Breakfast was wonderful! There's a great selection of cereals + milks for sweet breakfast, and eggs/meat/vegetables/bread for savory breakfast. If you get lucky with the table, you can also have a wonderful view! This was definitely the best hotel breakfast I've had so far.
